Safer Sleep Week 2026
Safer Sleep Week is here! Learn quick, trusted tips that help protect babies while they sleep.
What is Safer Sleep Week?
Safer Sleep week, 9-15 March, is The Lullaby Trust’s national awareness campaign, held each March, to help anyone caring for a young baby understand how to reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
The campaign highlights that around four babies a week in the UK still die from SIDS, and that many of these deaths could be prevented with safer sleep advice.
What the Campaign Focuses On
Each year highlights key topics such as understanding normal baby sleep patterns, busting common sleep myths, and supporting parents who are tired or struggling.
Why It Matters
Safer sleep guidance has saved over 30,000 babies’ lives since the early 1990s, but ongoing awareness is vital to keep reducing risks.
