About the Programme

This programme is for young people aged 10 - 13 who are moving from primary to secondary school and want a safe, friendly place to feel supported. It helps young people build confidence, make positive choices, and settle into Years 7 and 8 by offering fun activities, team games, cooking, and creative sessions alongside chances to talk, be heard, and build friendships.

What the Sessions Focus On

Led by trained youth workers, the sessions focus on understanding choices and consequences, improving communication, managing emotions, and developing healthy relationships.

Why the Programme Was Created

The programme was created to support young people early, especially those who may struggle with behaviour, confidence, or fitting in at secondary school, helping them feel calmer, more resilient, and more connected. Young people are encouraged to try new things, work together, and feel a sense of belonging in a supportive environment.

How to Join

The sessions are open to referrals and self‑referrals from young people and parents via the Junior Youth session QR code (see poster below).
